GameBus is all about having fun and stimulating health at the same time. Therefore, we fully support the international Movember campaign in November 2016. The GameBus team aims at collecting 300 Euros to fund cancer research.
How can you Get Involved?
- Step 1: make a donation to the GameBus team on Movember.com: visit https://nl.movember.com/en/donate/payment/team_id/2269750 and make a pledge to our Movember.com profile.
- Step 2: claim points for your pledge by registering it in GameBus: go to https://app.gamebus.eu/ > Activities > Add manually and register your contribution. You can also use our native apps for Android or iOS.
In case you have registered an amount not displayed in the menu then you can still adjust that on the subsequent page in GameBus. Also, please add a photo to share the fun.
- Step 3: forward your Movember.com confirmation e-mail to movember@gamebus.eu. This will be used to check the veracity of step 1. In this way, we can remove invalid registrations of Step 2.
- Step 4 (optional): score bonus points by uploading moustache selfies. For men, this is our way to encourage them to grow a moustache. Women can also upload fun selfies, as demonstrated by various creative ladies during previous editions of the Movember campaign.
How will you Be Rewarded?
First and foremost, you will be rewarded by a lot of fun and positive energy. Second, you can win one of the below mentioned rewards. Note that you need at least 10 GameBus points to become eligible for a reward and furthermore, your points should be earned according to the above mentioned rules.
- Team diner reward: winners will be invited to join the GameBus team for a lunch or diner where we will exchange experiences and enjoy life.
- Autographed picture: winners will receive a quality print of one of the Movember challenge selfies, signed by hand by the core team members.
- A vote on the groom style of the team member’s moustaches: winners of this reward can vote for crazy groom styles for the moustaches of our GameBus core team members.

Background: what is Movember?
The Movember foundation is an international, independent, organization founded more than a decade ago. While originally, it involved just a few Australian dudes having fun, it now aims to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%, by 2030. In 13 years, the foundation has funded more than 1,200 men’s health projects around the world. They combined health stimulation with fun by
- raising more than 50 million Euros, and at the same time,
- raising awareness by letting almost 500.000 men grow a moustache (and share selfies of it).
The Moustache campaigns always run during the month of November but the foundation supports health campaigns all around the year.
